Yoga Tune Up® Seminars – July 14th at CrossFit Burn!

Coach Steve has worked his magic and convinced the amazing and talented Elizabeth Wipff to host a pair of Yoga Tune Up® Seminars on July 14th!

Yoga Tune Up® (YTU) is an anatomy-based movement practice which utilizes yoga, therapeutics, corrective exercise and myofascial massage.   The results are immediate relief from chronic tension, increased power through a greater range of movement, increased strength and healthy, supple joints.  It’s the perfect mobility and maintenance program for CrossFitters of all levels

10am-1230pm will be: Core to Extremity: Shoulders we will address the shoulder mobility and flexibility issues that challenge good position in movements like the clean & jerk, snatch, handstand push-up, and pull-up and make us susceptible to injury. We will also look at the connection of the shoulder and arm to the midline and explore ways to move more efficiently and more powerfully from Core to Extremity.

2pm-430pm will be: Core to Extremity: Hips we will address the shoulder mobility and flexibility issues that challenge good position in movements like the squat and the deadlift and make us susceptible to injury. We will also look at the connection of the hip and leg to the midline and explore ways to move more efficiently and more powerfully from Core to Extremity.

Elizabeth WipffElizabeth Wipff is a CrossFit coach at CF Virtuosity in Brooklyn, NY; personal trainer; yoga teacher; and mobility specialist.  She has been teaching yoga and CrossFit in the NYC area since 1999.

Her certifications and trainings include: CrossFit Level 1, CF Gymnastics, CF Kettlebell, CF Coaches Prep, CF Olympic Lifting, CF Movement and Mobility, Yoga Tune Up®, Endurance seminar with Brian MacKenzie and multiple yoga teacher trainings.  In June 2013 she became a USAW certified coach.
